FANNIE ESCOULEN

A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d'Arles, Fannie Escoulen is an independent curator specializing in contemporary photography. Deputy director of the BAL in Paris from 2007 to 2014, she has notably curated monographic exhibitions of Antoine d'Agata and Stéphane Duroy at the BAL (Paris), Kate Barry at the Rencontres d'Arles, Anne-Marie Filaire at the Mucem (Marseille), Laurence Aëgerter at the Petit Palais (Paris), Jon Cazenave at the Kutxa Foundation (San Sebastian). In parallel to her curatorial activities, she regularly collaborates with publishing houses as well as galleries and companies. In 2020, she was the artistic advisor of the HSBC Prize for Photography.
