Sectors
Main and Prismes projects
The Main sector hosts 200 international galleries exhibiting historical and contemporary photographs as well as image-based arts, offering the broadest overview of the medium. Incorporated into the Main sector, the Prismes projects explore uses of the image in a diverse range of practices, in dialogue with other media: exceptional projects, very large formats, series and sculptural installations, video art.
Book
The Book sector features specialist publishing houses, who are displaying photography books, limited editions, printed works, multiples and artist’s books. Publishers are selected by a committee of specialists from the world of publishing.
Digital
Since 2023, Paris Photo has been offering a Digital sector dedicated to photography and the image in the digital age.
Curated by Nina Roehrs - a specialist in art in the digital age - the sector presents a selection of contemporary art galleries and curated platforms at the forefront of new technologies, highlighting artists who incorporate digital realities in their work.
With the pioneering creation of the Digital sector in 2023, Paris Photo was the first fair in Europe to dedicate a specific programme to digital art, offering a unique space to this sector in the heart of the Grand Palais nave.
Voices
For the second year, Paris Photo invites two renowned curators to select artists from the international scene for the Voices sector. They are invited to create a proposal centred on contemporary themes in order to spotlight an artistic scene or the use of a particular medium in a shared space.
The 2025 curators are:
– Dr Devika Singh, Senior Lecturer at the Courtauld Institute
– Nadine Wietlishbach, Director of Fotomuseum Winterthur
Emergence
The Emergence sector features 24 galleries and showcases solo artists’ shows centred on a specific project. Galleries show a new project or one that is presented by a young gallery. Since 2018, Paris Photo has been supporting young international galleries and artists with an attractive offer. The Emergence sector is located along the walkways on the first floor of the Grand Palais, overlooking the nave.
