Founded by the Pictet Group in 2008, the Prix Pictet is the world’s leading award for photography and sustainability. Every two years a new cycle takes up a theme drawn from the defining environmental and social questions of our time, and presents CHF 100,000 to the photographer whose work embodies it most powerfully.
Across eleven cycles, more than 5,600 photographers have been nominated, with touring exhibitions reaching over 1.5 million visitors worldwide.The twelfth cycle, Jungle, was announced at Les Rencontres d’Arles in July; the winner will be revealed at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in September 2027.
The Prix Pictet gallery located on the Promenoir of the Grand Palais brings to gether Valérie Belin, laureate of Disorder in 2016, and Alfredo Jaar, laureate of Storm in 2025.
