After graduating from the University of Geneva with a degree in art history, Barth Johnson started as an intern at Galerie Guy Bärtschi in 2006. With his partner Sébastien Maret, they took over the activity of the gallery in 2014, renaming it WILDE, and opened a second space in Basel in 2019 in which they will exhibit Not Vital, Marina Abramovic, Omar Ba, Mounir Fatmi... A third space dedicated to second market artworks opens the following year in Zurich.

Since its creation, Wilde has been an integral part of the Swiss and international art scene, with an ambitious and diversified program of established and emerging artists. Always on the lookout for new projects, WILDE opens during the winter holidays 2021/22 a temporary gallery in Gstaad with an exhibition of over 60 international artists.
