THE ESTÉE LAUDER COMPANIES - CHARITY PARTNERS

With a presence in approximately 150 countries and territories, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of quality skin care, makeup, fragrance, and hair care products.

Founded in 1992 by the late Evelyn H. Lauder with the launch of the iconic Pink Ribbon — which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2022 — the Breast Cancer Campaign is The Estée Lauder Companies’ largest corporate social impact program. Through the collective efforts of its employees, consumers and partners, the Campaign supports more than 60 organizations worldwide and more than $108 million have been founded for lifesaving global research, education and medical services.

The Estée Lauder Companies France is co-founder with Marie Claire magazine of the Ruban Rose Association, the first French non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. Since 2004, the Association has endowed the Research in France with over €4 million.

In 2012, in tribute to Mrs Evelyn H. Lauder, who passed away the year before, and in support of the Ruban Rose Association, the Estée Lauder Companies Pink Ribbon Photo Award was launched to raise — through photography — awareness of breast cancer, which still affects 1 in 8 women nowadays.

Thereby, since its first edition, the mission of the Estée Lauder Companies Pink Ribbon Photo Award has been to mobilise the public in support of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, held each autumn in France on the initiative of the Ruban Rose Association.

True to its anchorage in all layers of society, the contest is open to all photographers, amateurs and professionals alike. Each year, hundreds of contributions are received from all over France.

In 2022, the call for entries of the competition was held under the theme "An Eye for Beauty", title of the last photography books by Evelyn H. Lauder.

For the fifth year, Paris Photo welcomes the Estée Lauder Companies Pink Ribbon Photo Award, as a charity partner, by offering it a space within the fair and by hosting its award ceremony.
