PARIS PHOTO - APERTURE
Initié en novembre 2012 par Paris Photo et la Fondation Aperture, le Prix du Livre célèbre la contribution du livre photo à l’évolution de la photographie. Trois prix seront remis le vendredi 10 novembre à Paris Photo : Premier livre, Livre de l’année, et Catalogue photographique de l’année.
• LE PRIX DU PREMIER LIVRE PHOTO
Un prix de 10 000 dollars sera décerné au(x) photographe(s)/ artiste(s) dont le premier livre de photographie publié est choisi par un jury de professionnels de la photographie comme étant le meilleur de l’année.
• LE PRIX DU LIVRE PHOTO DE L’ANNÉE
Ce prix sera décerné au(x) photographe(s)/ artiste(s), et à l’éditeur responsable, du livre de photographie et choisit par un jury de professionnels de la photographie comme étant le meilleur de l’année.
• LE PRIX DU CATALOGUE PHOTOGRAPHIQUE DE L’ANNÉE
Ce prix sera décerné à la publication, à l’éditeur et/ou à l’institution organisatrice responsable du catalogue d’exposition ou de la publication de musée et élu par un jury de professionnels de la photographie comme étant la meilleure de l’année. Les livres présélectionnés accompagnés des commentaires du jury seront publiés en ligne et dans un catalogue spécial disponible à la foire. Les trente-cinq ouvrages présélectionnés seront exposés à Paris Photo et prendront part ensuite à une exposition itinérante internationale

- Alexis Fabry, curator and founder, Toluca Fine Art;
- Alona Pardo, curator, Barbican;
- Mark Sealy, director of Autograph and Professor of Photography Rights and Representation at University of the Arts London
