About
Inspired by the warm welcome of a hotel lobby, Casa Belmond offers an immersive experience through three photographic publishing collections that celebrate Belmond destinations. As Seen By with publisher RVB is an extension of the Belmond Legends campaign, where renowned photographers explore legendary locations – the collection currently features six photo books, with three new titles launching at Paris Photo. Recipes & Wanderings is a cookbook series with Apartamento, celebrating local culinary traditions and the connection between Belmond properties and local terroir. And new for Paris Photo, a coffee-table travel collection with Assouline, each written by a local expert and blending photography from multiple Belmond commissions.
BELMOND & Photography
In the age of the ubiquitous image, travel photography has become too familiar and expected – Belmond is working to change this. Commissioning photographers including Coco Capitán, Francois Halard, Jack Davison, Rosie Marks, Letizia Le Fur and Chris Rhodes, Belmond is committed to showing diverse locations through new lenses. Each artistic commission creates a unique reimagining of a legendary Belmond property and has led to a series of photobooks by world renowned artists and voices on the rise, published by RVB.
In 2024, the brand launched the Belmond Photographic Residency to foster the next generation of talent, which was met with over 800 applications.
To celebrate the deep connection between Belmond properties and local terroir, Belmond has created a creative cookbook series in partnership with Apartamento, with each book commissioning a photographer such as Lea Colombo or Luo Yang to creatively explore the culinary traditions of a region through their lens.
Belmond's commitment to commissioning original artwork also moves into the world of film, most notably with the slow TV series 'Long Shots', which creates immersive hour-long ambient immersions in a place.
