Diane Dufour is the founder in 2010 with Raymond Depardon of LE BAL, an independent publishing, exhibition and research platform for the contemporary image (photography, film and video) that she co-directs with Christine Vidal. Internationally renowned for the quality of its exhibitions and publications (Anonymes, l'Amérique sans nom (2010), Topographies de la guerre (2011), Antoine d'Agata, Anticorps (2013),Lewis Baltz, Common Objects (2014), Renverser ses Yeux, Arte Povera et images (2022)....), LE BAL aims to make the visual arts part of a reflection on our societies. Director of Magnum Photos from 2000 to 2006, Diane Dufour has curated numerous exhibitions, including Euro Visions at the Centre Pompidou in 2005 and L'Image d'après at the Cinémathèque Française in 2007.
