OUR COMMITMENTS

Paris Photo is committed to being a pioneering event in terms of responsibility and sustainability. We are taking short- and medium-term action to reduce our environmental impact and promote environmentally responsible values.

Our commitment extends to the social field through our actions towards better representation and reception for everyone at our events.

AN ECO-FRIENDLY FAIR

AN ECO-DESIGNED EVENT

  • Our system of modular and sustainable wooden partitions is reused every year (over 20 uses to date).
  • Energy-efficient lighting – 100% LED.
  • We choose cardboard for our indoor signage wherever possible.

SUSTAINABLE CATERING

  • Our official caterer Fleur de Mets has ISO 20121 certification, the international event standard for sustainable development, and the ECOVADIS Gold medal, which places it in the Top 5% most sustainable companies in all sectors of activity combined.
  • We offer vegetarian and vegan catering options.
  • We are committed to phasing out plastic consumables.

RESPONSIBLE WASTE MANAGEMENT

  • A waste reduction policy reduced waste by 11% between 2021 and 2022.
  • We have established a partnership with the company Re'Up to optimise the sorting of waste with our key service providers (catering, general installer, signage, furniture).
  • We recycle all our carpets.
  • A partnership with Plinth, a platform for pooling and reusing staging elements.
  • Biowaste recovery with Tryon, a composting solution using methanisation.

DIGITAL COMMUNICATION

  • Most of our printed communications have been replaced by digital tools.
  • For printed tools, we choose to work with local printers and use recyclable paper.

PARIS PHOTO IS COMMITTED TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

BETTER PRESENTATION

Paris Photo is committed to women photographers.
The Elles x Paris Photo programme, initiated in 2018, helped see the representation of women photographers at the fair increase from 20% to 36% in 5 years.

Paris Photo is also committed to young people. The Curiosa sector, dedicated to emerging creation, represents mainly young artists. The Carte Blanche is awarded to 4 students from European schools each year and invites them to showcase their work.

We pay particular attention to representation and fairness in the composition of our juries and panels of speakers.

Our conversations cover sessions on topics related to diversity, equality and inclusion, aimed at raising awareness among our audiences about the challenges facing diverse communities.

AN EVENT ACCESSIBLE TO ALL AUDIENCES

Paris Photo is committed to providing an inclusive and safe environment for all its visitors. We are committed to taking steps to make our event and resources accessible to all. 3 years ago we launched an Online Viewing Room to provide access to the fair's content from anywhere in the world.

Paris Photo offers educational initiatives to teach young audiences more about photography through a partnership with the Gobelins School.

Paris Photo offers free entry for anyone accompanying a person with a disability. People who need it can request a wheelchair at the fair reception.

Students receive a 50% discount on their admission to Paris Photo.
