Launched in 2018, THE TOKYO TOILET(TTT) is a project that initiated and funded by Mr. Koji Yanai, to redesign 17 public restrooms in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, Japan. 

This innovative project aiming to design public restrooms that everyone would want to use, called on 16 world-renowned architects and designers to creatively renovate and renew the negative image of public restrooms, typically thought to be dark, dirty, smelly and scary. TTT has been very well received both in Japan and abroad, going viral on social media and winning various creative and advertising awards around the world, including the Cannes International Festival of Creativity award, creating new value in the tourism industry.
