BMW

BMW Group has been an active supporter of the arts for over 50 years, as creativity and innovation are at the heart of its iconic brands BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad. It all began back in 1971 when BMW Group commissioned artist Gerhard Richter to create three large-scale paintings. Today, the company embraces its social responsibility in the realm of culture and is actively engaged in projects all over the world. Through its global cultural engagement, the BMW Group has established over 100 long-term initiatives in the fields of modern and contemporary art, music and sound, as well as in architecture and design.

BMW, a catalyst of emotions and a long-time partner of photography and visual arts.
For the 22nd consecutive year, BMW is proud to be Official Partner of Paris Photo and its VIP programme, offering a more sustainable mobility for guests with a fleet of electric cars.
AT Paris Photo at the Grand Palais, BMW is presenting ‘The Green Ray’ by Mustapha Azeroual and Marjolaine Lévy, winners of the BMW ART MAKERS programme, which each year supports a duo of artist and curator in the production of an original exhibition. With this support they created large lenticular artworks showing the impressive chromatic diversity of the skies over the high seas, but also the impact of human activity on our planet. The scenography has been designed to be both immersive and eco-responsible, with the group's R&D design teams in Munich sourcing recycled materials and bio-based artificial leather to create the exhibition furniture.
BMW is also an official partner of Les Rencontres d'Arles and Art Basel Paris and is involved in the film industry with the Cannes Festival and the Romantic Film Festival of Cabourg.

The BMW Art Cars, a French story France reflecting BMW's passion for the arts.
Back in the 70’s, BMW invented the Art Car concept with the pilot and auctioneer Hervé Poulain. It today counts a collection of 20 works signed by internationally renowned artists such as Calder, Warhol, Lichtenstein, Koons, Holzer and Cao Fei. It continues to expand with contemporary creations, such as the one by Julie Mehretu unveiled at the Centre Pompidou before racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year.
