Carmen Winant is an artist and writer based in Columbus, OH, where she is the Roy Lichtenstein Endowed Chair of Studio Art at Ohio State University. Her work utilises found images, collage, mixed media, and installation to explore the representation of women and examine the significance of political solidarity. Her latest book The Last Safe Abortion (SPBH Editions) brings together a collection of images documenting abortion care drawn from archives across the US Midwest in the last fifty years.
