MIYAKO YOSHINAGA has been operating in Chelsea, New York City since 1999. The gallery flourishes as a premier space for new international photography and views it as vital to the global art world. This year’s solo presentation of Yojiro Imasaka is both a sequel to the gallery’s well-received two-artist presentation at Paris Photo 2017 and a step further in the gallery’s investigation of boundary-breaking contemporary photography. Having a strong spirit of commitment to its artists, MIYAKO YOSHINAGA gallery supports its artists’ ambitious visions through museum-caliber exhibitions. The gallery’s exhibitions have been reviewed in a wide range of publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, FOAM, Aperture, and Art In America. Works of the gallery’s artists can be found in the permanent collections of such distinguished institutions as The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and The Smithsonian American Art Museum.
