The artists of Fisheye Gallery push the boundaries of photography, branching out to video, graphic design, and virtual reality. Featuring collective exhibitions and solo shows which explore all angles of contemporary photography, Fisheye Gallery pursues an exacting, self-assured approach. Whether it be in the field of documentary work, with pieces by Philippe Grollier on the Bonfires of Northern Ireland, prints by Morvarid K. covered in ball-point pen ink, portraits of Trump supporters by Jean-Christian Bourcart, or surrealistic landscapes by the recent Nièpce Gens d’Images Prize winner, Stéphane Lavoué, Fisheye Gallery explores all possibilities. Throughout the year, Fishery Gallery also exhibits photographers at the gallery Le Magasin de Jouets in Arles, as well as during Rencontres d’Arles. This year, Fisheye Gallery exhibited the work of Delphine Diallo, a French-Senegalese artist and photographer who blends history, anthropology, mythology, religion, and science to emphasize the role of womankind, underrepresented in contemporary society. Fisheye Gallery is associated with Fisheye magazine, created in 2013. The bimonthly magazine decodes the world through the lens of photography by lending an attentive ear to the practices of a new generation and addresses photography with frank sincerity. Replete with works spanning the domains of politics, business, society, world, portrait, fashion, video art, equipment, web projects, history, and more, Fisheye does not shy away from any subject matter and is always on the lookout for emerging talents.More
