The Estée Lauder Companies, the world leader in luxury cosmetics (skincare, make-up, fragrances, etc.), has been involved in the global campaign against breast cancer for more than 30 years: it is the group's most important social impact programme.

In 2012, in France and in support of the Ruban Rose Association, the Estée Lauder Companies Pink Ribbon Photo Award was launched to raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer through photography.

Since 2017, Paris Photo hosts the photo competition with the award ceremony and the exhibition of the finalists and winners.
