TEMNIKOVA & KASELA // DIEHL

TEMNIKOVA & KASELA // DIEHL

Stand:
  • A7

Temnikova & Kasela gallery was established in 2010 by Olga Temnikova and Indrek Kasela. The gallery's program is international and based on a dialogue between local and global. The program is driven by the attempt to reflect on the current post capitalist condition, putting it in perspective with Estonia’s political past and present, as well to reactualise the role of gallery's so called “peripheral” location against the accepted art centres. DIEHL is focused on contemporary art with international relevance. The programme includes the the internationally acclaimed Chinese born artist Zhang Huan (New York), the renowned Spanish sculptor Jaume Plensa (Barcelona), and the Russian groups Blue Noses and AES+F (Moscow). Next to these international positions the programme is balanced and rooted by German artists such as the painters Herbert Volkmann, Martin Assig and Martin Borowski as well as the photographers Thomas Florschuetz and Frauke Eigen.
